February 10 the theater play "Frankenstein 32 Parts in One Go" at the Alanya Culture Center
Two daring actors, eager to put on a play, decide to perform Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein," a classic of world literature, after losing the rights to Shakespeare’s "Hamlet." The story is about how the creature created by Dr. Frankenstein turns into a monster because it cannot find love. One of the actors, a know-it-all director, tries to emphasize the upcoming dangers of artificial intelligence and robots to humanity. His naive partner, who is always eager to sing, struggles to keep up with him in his whimsical attempts. Yet, the performance begins with insufficient rehearsal.
How will they play all the roles? How will the monster be created on stage? And most importantly, who will play that grotesque creature? With personal grievances and conflicts, the play rushes to an end in the form of "32 parts in one go." German author Sebastian Seidel, while enjoying the comedic moments, also reflects the dizzying beauty and bewildering magic of the love for theater.
