Fig Jam: A Silent and Profound Love Story

With a story that begins like a fairy tale and ends in tragedy, Fig Jam (İncir Reçeli) is Aytaç Ağırlar’s directorial debut. Metin, who earns a living writing sketch shows for television, dreams of having one of his screenplays turned into a film. After yet another rejection from producers, he meets a mysterious woman named Duygu at a bar. Drunk and vulnerable, Duygu is taken in by Metin for the night. But by morning, she has left, leaving only a short note behind.

Time passes, and Metin encounters Duygu again at the same bar. She becomes a frequent guest at his home, staying on her own terms. Metin, who knows nothing about her except her name, falls in love with her. Duygu continues to come and go unexpectedly, leaving only notes behind. Intrigued by her secrecy, Metin follows her one day—and what he discovers becomes the beginning of an “eternal” urban love story and a struggle to change the world.
