A protocol has been signed in Alanya to reduce home accidents

In Alanya, an important step has been taken to prevent home accidents and enhance safety. During a ceremony chaired by Alanya District Governor Dr. Fatih Ürkmezer, a protocol was signed within the framework of the "Evimde Güvendeyim Project" (I Am Safe at Home Project).

The "Evimde Güvendeyim Project," initiated under the leadership of Alanya District Governor Dr. Fatih Ürkmezer and to be implemented in collaboration with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, the District Health Directorate, and the Alanya District National Education Directorate, was signed yesterday at the Alanya District Governor’s office. The signing ceremony was attended by Acting Rector of ALKÜ Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç, District Health Director Nadir Aldemir, National Education Director Yusuf Yılmaz, and institution staff.

The "Evimde Güvendeyim Project" aims to protect students in pre-school, primary, and secondary education from home accidents. The project will raise awareness about injuries and fatal accidents at home, create a safe environment, and provide training to parents, school administrations, dormitory supervisors, and staff at Social Service Center Child Homes. Parents will be educated about various risks and accidents at home and will receive first aid training to handle potential home accidents.

Speaking about the project, Governor Ürkmezer said: “Home accidents can happen to any family in our country. Unfortunately, in Alanya, there have been fatal and injury-related home accidents involving our students. After the tragic accident involving a Hayate Hanım Primary School student last year, we initiated a project to address this issue. Under the leadership of our governorate, in collaboration with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, the District National Education Directorate, and the District Health Directorate, we have created the 'Evimde Güvendeyim Project' to raise awareness among our students, their parents, and school staff about potential home accidents and to provide information and training on this issue. The project will offer various seminars and training, including first aid, to parents, students, and staff regarding home accidents. We hope the project will be successful and thank all the participating institutions and staff.”
