In Manavgat, a driver who failed to yield to an ambulance was arrested

In Manavgat, a car driver who was detained for deliberately not yielding to an ambulance was arrested.

According to a statement from the governor's office, action was taken after footage surfaced on social media showing a car failing to yield to a private hospital's ambulance on the D-400 highway in the Taşağıl neighborhood on October 28 at 3:08 a.m.

An investigation by the Manavgat District Gendarmerie Command revealed that the driver, O.Ç., was traveling from Serik toward Manavgat and deliberately failed to yield and slowed down in front of an ambulance traveling in the same direction.

The driver was apprehended and taken into custody. Following procedures at the gendarmerie, the suspect was referred to court and subsequently arrested by a criminal court judge.

Additionally, an administrative fine was imposed on the driver for “endangering traffic safety”.
