Alanya's waste provided electricity to thousands of households

The waste evaluation facility of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in Alanya processed 220 tons of waste in 2024, generating 38,388 mW of energy, contributing to environmental protection and supporting the economy.
At the Integrated Solid Waste Evaluation and Disposal Facility in Alanya, 220 tons of waste were processed and 38,388 mW of energy was produced in 2024. This facility contributes to keeping the environment clean through waste disposal while also supporting the economy by generating energy.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek stated that the facility contributes to both the environment and the economy, saying: "With the Recycling and Disposal Facility, we are reducing carbon emissions, protecting nature and health. We continue our work relentlessly, following science and technology, for an environmentally friendly and nature-conscious city. This facility is extremely important for our Antalya, our seas, and our future."
The facility is expected to dispose of even more waste and produce more energy in 2025.
