Attention Antalya and Alanya! Organ donations will now be made through e-Government system

With the new law passed by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, organ donations can now be made through the e-Government system. This significant change digitizes the organ donation process, making it more accessible.

According to the new regulation, citizens can now declare organ and tissue donations using secure identity verification tools via the e-Government Gateway or the Ministry of Health's information systems. These declarations will be recorded in the Ministry of Health’s central registry system in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law. Additionally, the declaration information will be shared with designated individuals upon the donor’s request; however, this information cannot be shared with others before brain death is determined.

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT FOR ANTALYA AND ALANYA

This new implementation represents an important step towards spreading organ donation. Especially in large cities and tourist areas like Antalya and Alanya, where there is a high number of patients waiting for organ transplants, this digitization may contribute to increasing the number of donors. Citizens can now easily apply for organ donation from their homes and save lives.
