Major Update in Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Corruption Probe: Confessions and New Arrests

In the ongoing corruption and bribery investigation involving the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality (Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi), authorities have recorded confessions from several suspects and executed further arrests.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, 22 individuals were issued detention orders as part of the probe into alleged scheme involving property rights and construction contractors.
Some detainees have opted in for the “effective remorse” mechanism and have been released from prison under that provision, marking a notable development in the case.
The investigation, overseen by the Antalya Prosecutor’s Office, covers charges of bribery, abuse of office, and laundering of illicit funds. The case remains active and more updates are expected to surface soon.
