Rojda Concert

Rojda was born in Kurtalan, Siirt, and later moved to Istanbul. She began her professional music career by joining the group Koma Gulên Xerzan, founded by her brother. She participated in the production of four albums with the group.

She reached a wide audience with her renditions of the songs “Meyremxan” and “Helimcan.” Later, as the first female vocalist, she performed a duet with the powerful voice of Kurdish dengbêj tradition, Şakiro, on the song Wey Dil. The duet was highly praised and appreciated.

With her unique style, Rojda successfully reinterpreted traditional folk songs and made them popular among today’s youth.

In 2006, Rojda left the group and released her first solo album, continuing her career with solo projects.
