Karalar Boynuz Festival Returns for Its Second Year

Organized by the Karalar Neighborhood Development and Solidarity Association, the second Karalar Boynuz Festival will be held this year after its successful debut last year. The countdown to this traditional event has begun. The festival, which will take place on September 14-15 in Karalar Neighborhood, will feature the promotion of carob-based products, a significant source of income for the region.

Özlem Şahin and Havva Öğüt to Perform

The festival will open its doors on Saturday morning with various stalls and activities throughout the day. Özlem Şahin will perform at 8:00 PM, singing traditional Turkish songs for the residents of Gazipaşa. On the second day of the festival, Sunday, there will be more competitions and shows. Local artists such as Celal Balçık, Ahmet Yaman, Ahmet Balcı, and Soner Yalçınkaya will provide musical entertainment throughout the day. In the evening at 8:00 PM, Havva Öğüt will take the stage.

Mehmet Yaman, President of the Karalar Neighborhood Development and Solidarity Association, said, “We will hold the 2nd Karalar Boynuz Festival this weekend, on September 14-15. We have prepared a full and exciting festival program again this year, which will last for two days. Our festival will feature performances by Özlem Şahin and Havva Öğüt, as well as musical performances by local artists Celal Balçık, Ahmet Yaman, Ahmet Balcı, and Soner Yalçınkaya. Additionally, there will be various stalls, competitions, and shows.”
