On January 12, the play "Waiting for Fear" will be performed at the Alanya Cultural Center
A fight of a man who has no weapon other than his fears, struggling until his weapons break apart. One could say that what is narrated in this struggle is actually the story of another "disconnected one." In "Disconnected Ones," which we sometimes try to use as a guide, Oğuz Atay stated about this type (disconnectus erectus): "Men emit pitiful sounds when left alone. They call their females with the same sound. They generally live in abandoned nests. They have no defined family structure. After birth, the mother, father, and offspring go their separate ways. They do not know how to live collectively and have never been seen uniting against external dangers. They have no specific feeding regime. When living with other animals, they subsist on the food those animals bring. When left alone, they generally forget to eat. All their habits are based on imitation, so if they do not see other animals eating, they do not realize they are hungry. Their instincts are underdeveloped. They do not know how to protect themselves. However, due to their imitative nature, they sometimes enter fights, trying to emulate other animals. So far, no disconnected one has been seen to defeat another animal in a fight".
