October 27th at Gazipaşa Cultural Center theater play "The Death of an Anarchist Due to an Accident"

The play, written by Nobel Prize-winning author Dario Fo, is set in Milan in 1969. A bomb explodes near the Duomo Square, killing 16 people. The police and a portion of pro-government media attempt to portray the incident as an act by "leftist anarchists." The police hold anarchists responsible for the explosion and detain Giuseppe Pinelli. At the end of the third day of interrogation, Pinelli is found dead on the sidewalks in front of the police station. The police claim that the anarchist "accidentally" fell from the fifth floor of the building. Meanwhile, a "smart madman" has been brought to the same building for questioning...

Thus, the events at the police station begin.

Dario Fo, known as a "theater caricaturist," always tells stories based on real events in his plays. In transforming a true incident into a theatrical production, he creates dark comedy from dramatic interrogation scenes.
