In Antalya, negligence led to a horrific outcome! One person tragically lost their life

In Antalya's Döşemealtı district, a truck driver who violated traffic rules to retrieve materials that had fallen onto the road caused the death of one person.

In Antalya, a tragedy occurred due to a cabin that fell from the truck's cargo area. The cabin, which had fallen from the truck bed, was being retrieved by the truck moving backward on the left lane, and the driver of another vehicle, who collided with the truck and sustained severe damage, tragically lost their life.

RULE VIOLATION CLAIMED A LIFE

The accident happened around 08:00 on Akdeniz Street, in the Yeşilbayır neighborhood of Döşemealtı district. The cabin-like structure in the cargo area of the truck driven by Mustafa A. fell onto the roadside for unknown reasons. The truck driver, Mustafa A., stopped on the left lane and began reversing to retrieve the cabin. At that moment, a car driven by Esra Sümer, coming from the same lane, collided with the truck at high speed.

DRIVER TRAGICALLY DIED

The impact caused both vehicles to fall onto the road's median strip. After other drivers and oil company employees who witnessed the accident reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center, numerous ambulances, fire trucks, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The truck driver, Mustafa A., was hospitalized after initial treatment at the scene, while Esra Sümer, who was in the wrecked vehicle, died at the scene. The road, which had been reduced to a single lane for a long time, was reopened to traffic after the vehicles were cleared from the site.

HIS SPOUSE COULD NOT HOLD BACK TEARS

Following the incident, Esra Sümer's husband rushed to the scene and could not hold back his tears. Sümer's relatives comforted him. The body of Esra Sümer, who worked as an accountant for a private company, was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after a prosecutor's examination.
