Raids conducted in Gazipaşa against the sale of cigarettes around schools

Following the instructions of the Gazipaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, investigations conducted by the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch of Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Command and the Gazipaşa District Gendarmerie Command (JASAT) revealed illegal production and sale of cigarettes and tobacco products, especially around school areas. As a result, individuals identified as (A.A), (S.E), (E.A), and (C.Ç) were found to be involved in manufacturing and selling cigarettes at their workplace and associated storage facilities.

During the search of the suspects' storage and workplace, the following items were seized:

(1500) kg of unmarked smuggled tobacco;

(200,000) unmarked empty cigarette tubes;

(2,000) packages of cigarette tobacco with filled tubes.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects. The Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Command emphasized that the fight against crime and criminals will continue with determination and perseverance.
