Rector Türkdoğan's visit to Ankara
Rector of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan made a trip to Ankara for a series of visits, where he met with various officials, including the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, to initiate efforts for the faster development of the university.
In recent years, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) has been continuing its scientific development alongside its physical growth at full speed. Under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, new projects continue to be added to the developments being followed. Rector Türkdoğan accelerated his contacts with ministers and relevant bureaucracies in Ankara to speed up these developments and to make ALKÜ a more effective university. He, along with Secretary General Onur Ocakdan, visited Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Director General of Cultural Heritage and Museums Birol İnceciköz, Deputy Minister of National Education Muhammet Bilal Macit, Rector of Health Sciences University Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın, and Director General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of the Presidency of the European Union Bülent Özcan. During the visits, the university's general affairs and the projects it could contribute to the country were discussed.
ALKÜ WILL MAKE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO TOURISM AND CULTURE
Rector Türkdoğan's first visit in Ankara was to Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Director General Birol İnceciköz. During the meeting, possibilities for collaboration to enhance Alanya's tourism potential, implement projects by ALKÜ, promote the region's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, particularly the ancient city of Sydra, were evaluated. After the visit, Rector Türkdoğan stated, "These efforts will make Alanya a center not only for seaside tourism but also for historical and cultural tourism. We are honored to contribute to this process as Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University."
ALKÜ WILL DEVELOP RELATIONS WITH THE MEB
Rector Türkdoğan visited Muhammet Bilal Macit, who was appointed as the Deputy Minister of National Education by Presidential Decree on September 13, 2024. He provided information about the projects to be carried out by ALKÜ with the start of the 2024-2025 academic year. Rector Türkdoğan expressed that ALKÜ would be in constant collaboration with the MEB and was ready to make significant contributions to education. At the end of the visit, Rector Türkdoğan and Secretary General Onur Ocakdan wished success to Deputy Minister Muhammet Bilal Macit in his new position.
NEW STEPS IN HEALTHCARE
The visits continued with a meeting with Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın, the Rector of Health Sciences University. After the meeting, Rector Türkdoğan stated, "We visited Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın, the Rector of Health Sciences University, in his office. In this meeting, where we evaluated mutual cooperation opportunities, we had a productive conversation aimed at strengthening the relationships between the two universities. I thank them for their hospitality and wish them ease in their work."
SUCCESSES IN ERASMUS ARE CLOSELY MONITORED
Rector Türkdoğan and Secretary General Ocakdan visited Bülent Özcan, Director General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of the Presidency of the European Union. During the meeting, topics such as Erasmus, external relations, and EU projects under K1 and K2 were discussed. Continuing the discussion, Rector Türkdoğan provided information about ALKÜ’s recent successes and rise in Erasmus mobility. Director General Bülent Özcan stated that they closely follow ALKÜ's achievements and fully support them in this regard. The visits concluded with a photo session for memories.
