Intense Interest from Tourists in Mosques in Alanya

Every year, millions of local and foreign tourists visit Antalya's Alanya district, where visitors show intense interest not only in historical and tourist sites but also in mosques.
Vacationers prefer to explore tourist attractions and historical sites in addition to their leisure activities. The historical Süleymaniye Mosque, built in 1231 by Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat in Alanya Castle, as well as the Yeni Mosque and Kuyularönü Mosque in the city center, attract significant attention from tourists. These mosques welcome an average of 500-600 local and foreign visitors daily.
Visitors learn about Islam and Muslim worship practices through mosque imams and guides and take plenty of souvenir photos.
"There is intense interest in mosques from tourists" Serkan Akıncı, who visited the mosque with his family from Kütahya, said, "This is our first time in Alanya. We really like the city. The Alanya Castle is especially beautiful, and we had the experience of riding the cable car for the first time. It was also a privilege to see this mosque, built during the Seljuk period and a legacy from our ancestors. It is very nice for us to witness history. We liked everything very much. There is intense interest in historical mosques from tourists because they are visually appealing; one wants to look back at them again. God willing, we hope to return here and see them again."
