Citizens don’t want 2025! In Alanya, if the price exceeds 1050 liras, it’s game over

Starting from February 2025, electricity subscribers in Alanya will pay the actual cost instead of subsidies for consumption exceeding 417 kWh (approximately 1,050 TL). As a result, electricity bills could double.
In Alanya, a new electricity billing regulation will come into effect in February 2025. Subscribers consuming more than 417 kWh (around 1,050 TL) will no longer benefit from subsidized rates and will pay based on actual market prices. This change may lead to bills doubling, particularly for high-consumption subscribers. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, stated that high-consumption residential subscribers will purchase electricity at market prices starting February. This regulation will directly impact subscribers in Alanya.
