Horror in Antalya captured on camera: Husband poured gasoline on his wife and set her on fire

In Antalya’s Muratpaşa district, motorcycle mechanic Gürhan Üzer severely injured his ex-wife Pınar Zorlu by setting her on fire with gasoline. The incident occurred in the morning on İsmet Gökşen Street in the Şirinyalı neighborhood. During an argument, Üzer poured gasoline on his ex-wife and set her on fire. Nearby residents immediately intervened with a fire extinguisher.
Zorlu, engulfed in flames, was rescued thanks to the intervention of local residents with a fire extinguisher. Medical teams arriving at the scene took Zorlu to the Burn Center of Akdeniz University Hospital for treatment. Her face, hands, and feet were seriously burned, and she also lost her eyesight.
CLAIMS THE REASON WAS NOT BEING ALLOWED TO SEE HIS CHILD
Gürhan Üzer was quickly apprehended by the police. In his statement, he claimed that after their divorce, his ex-wife started treating him badly and did not allow him to see their child, which drove him to commit the act. Üzer admitted that he had purchased gasoline at a gas station beforehand and attacked Zorlu during their argument.
PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS AND RESTRAINING ORDERS
It was revealed that Pınar Zorlu had previously obtained several restraining orders against her ex-husband. However, the incident escalated after Üzer went to her workplace and started an argument.
POLICE CONTINUE INVESTIGATION
Following the incident, the police collected evidence including Zorlu’s shoes, a burned jacket, and a gasoline-filled bucket. It was reported that Gürhan Üzer was handed over to the Homicide Bureau after the incident.
