Mosquitoes and pests raise alarm in Alanya: Teams take to the field!

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality's Vector Control Unit is on duty 24/7 with around 230 personnel and 28 vehicles in both rural and central neighborhoods. With the arrival of hot weather, the municipality has intensified its vector control efforts against the complaints of mosquito and pest breeding. In Alanya's 102 neighborhoods, spraying efforts continue throughout the year and have accelerated with the start of summer.

24/7 OPERATION

The Vector Control Teams of the Environmental Health Department continue spraying operations using all available resources. The activities are carried out with ecological balance in mind in irrigated agricultural areas, wells, stream beds, ponds, reed beds, and touristic or agricultural pools, both in the city center and rural areas. A total of 28 ULV (Ultra-Low Volume) vehicles are serving neighborhoods during the summer season.
