A decision has been made regarding the future of the old municipal building in Alanya.

The future of the historic municipal building located in Güllerpınarı Neighborhood of Alanya, which served as the city hall for many years, has been determined through a comprehensive public vote. Thousands of residents participated in surveys, social media discussions, and individual consultations. The majority favored repurposing the building as a cultural and arts center. Additional community facilities such as a library, youth center, women's and family support units, and digital learning spaces were also among the top public requests. The proposal to demolish the building and create a green space received limited support. Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik emphasized the importance of public opinion by stating, "Our citizens made the decision; we will implement it."
