Is Urban Discipline Just a Word in Alanya?

The illegal occupation of sidewalks by vehicles, even blocking paths for the disabled, has sparked major outrage. While previous inspections had led to some improvements, locals now say that the discipline has completely deteriorated in recent months. The use of sidewalks by vehicles not only invites potential accidents but also seriously threatens pedestrian safety.

Although they support Mayor Özçelik’s efforts, citizens express their dissatisfaction with the lack of enforcement on the ground. Saying, "Sidewalks are literally being used as parking lots, and no inspections are being done," the people of Alanya are calling on authorities to resume regular and uninterrupted inspections.
