Drought Alarm in Alanya: Rainfall Down 64 %

A drought alarm has been declared in Alanya — data indicates that rainfall has dropped by 64 % during the 2024–2025 period compared to the previous year.
Meteorological records show that in 2024, from January to October, average precipitation per square meter was 638 kg, but in 2025 for the same period it fell to 230 kg.
The number of rainy days also declined by 28 %.
No rainfall is forecasted for the coming week, with temperatures expected between 20–27 °C and humidity levels of 50–80 %.
Experts warn that these trends indicate an increasing shift toward arid conditions in the region, which could affect water resources, agriculture, and daily living.
