Mobile Signal Still Not Recovered in Gazipaşa, Alanya’s Neighbor

According to Gazete Alanya, residents in parts of Gazipaşa, a district neighboring Alanya, have been experiencing mobile phone signal outages for nearly a month.
The local branch of the Gelecek Party reports that affected areas include Karapınar, Kaplanhanı, and Çayarası, where residents say their phones barely connect — if at all.
They warn that the lack of consistent signal could pose serious risks in emergencies like medical crises, when calling services like 112 (emergency number) is essential.
Locals are calling for a permanent fix: they demand investment in new base stations, upgrading existing towers, or expanding network coverage in the area.
Analysis & Outlook:
The ongoing signal blackout presents a significant risk to public safety and day-to-day connectivity.
Building new mobile infrastructure or upgrading current installations could resolve these long-standing coverage gaps.
Collaboration between telecom operators and local authorities is crucial to improving the coverage map.
Improved mobile signal would enhance quality of life in the region and support both social and economic activities.
