HANDE YENER: "I WAS VERY HAPPY WHEN SHE CONTACTED ME"
Seda Kaya mentioned that they brought 'Ateş' to the clinic on July 25 and said, “Taking the animal to the clinic is not the end. You take it and treat it, but the subsequent process is very important. This dog was in a critical condition. It can't be cared for in a garden or on the street. While I was thinking about what to do next, Hande Yener contacted me through social media. I was very happy, very excited. She said that she would take over the subsequent process and provide care for the dog. She mentioned that the dog would go to a well-equipped place in Istanbul. The transfer will happen within two days.”
OVER 20 BULLETS IN HIS BODY
Veterinarian Ömer Faruk Alkan explained that the dog, which had been hit by a bullet that shattered its face, was brought in two weeks ago and was treated. “There are traces of pellets and bullets all over its body. The most tragic part is a single bullet that entered and exited from one side of the head. It completely shattered its face, eye, and nose, and then exited. We realized this when we took X-rays. It was as if they used the dog as a target. We saw injuries from different types of firearms. We urgently intervened on its nose and amputated the eye. The dog’s overall condition is currently very good, and we are monitoring it. There are more than 20 bullets in its body. These are close to vital organs, but we did not remove them as it would pose a greater risk.”
