First Confession in the Narin Investigation

A confession has emerged from one of those detained in the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in Diyarbakır 19 days later.

The first confession has come in the Narin Güran murder. A person detained as part of the investigation said, "The headman gave me the body in a sack. I took the sack and took it to the stream." It was also learned that 91 samples were taken from Narin's body, that her left leg was torn off at the knee in the sack, and that the bone fragments were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute. The sad news came 19 days later from Narin, who all of Turkey had been waiting for days with hope. Narin Güran's lifeless body had been found.

While the interrogation of 24 suspects, including family members, was ongoing, the statements taken as part of the investigation were reached in the morning.

A CONFESSION HAS COME

The first confession regarding Narin's murder came from a suspect who was detained. After it was determined that he had gone to the stream with his vehicle, the suspect was detained and said during his interrogation, "The headman gave me the body in a sack. I took the sack and took it to the stream." The investigation was deepened after the important confession regarding the murder. It was learned that 91 samples were taken from Narin's body during the autopsy, that her left leg was torn off at the knee in the sack, and that the bone fragments were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu announced yesterday that Narin Güran, who had gone missing, was found dead in a sack on the bank of Eğertutmaz Creek with her clothes on, covered with stones.

Zorluoğlu stated, "According to the initial findings, it has been understood that after she was killed, the missing Narin Güran was put in a sack and brought to the stream, placed in the water with the sack on the bank of the stream, and covered with tree branches and stones in a way that would not arouse suspicion and to give a natural appearance." As part of the investigation, 24 people were detained, including Narin Güran's mother, father, two older brothers, four uncles and the wife of her uncle Salim Güran, who was also arrested.
