The Kaymakam of Alanya, Dr. Fatih Ürkmezer, visited the Alanya Nursing Home and inaugurated the "Digital Spring Technology Room," created in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and Turkcell.
The "Digital Spring Technology Room" project was established to strengthen the connection of nursing home residents with life through technology. One of these technology rooms, created in cooperation between the Ministry of Family and Social Services and Turkcell, is now operational in the Alanya Nursing Home. Technology rooms have been established in 10 cities in Turkey, and one of them has been activated in the Alanya Nursing Home. The opening of the Digital Spring Technology Room took place at the Alanya Nursing Home Directorate, with the participation of Kaymakam Ürkmezer, Antalya Provincial Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Services Galip Sökmen, Alanya Social Services Center Director Fatma Aksoy, Alanya Nursing Home Director Vildan Uysal, Women’s Guest House Director Esra Özaslan, and the residents of the nursing home.
After the opening, Kaymakam Ürkmezer and the participants toured the digital room, inspecting the VR area, tablets, phones, and technological devices. With the "Digital Spring Technology Room," nursing home residents will be able to meet with their loved ones, read digital books, benefit from digital technology and device training, and spend productive and enjoyable time. At the end of the program, Kaymakam Ürkmezer chatted with the families of nursing home residents Özden Durmaz and Turan Kütük via video calls on the devices and computers in the room. Kaymakam Ürkmezer thanked everyone who contributed to the creation of the "Digital Spring Technology Room," saying: "We have opened the 'Digital Spring Technology Room' for our nursing home residents in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and Turkcell, with the participation of Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Galip Sökmen and our nursing home residents. This project provides an environment where nursing home residents can utilize the benefits of technology and enjoy various opportunities.
