An open-top double-decker bus is coming to Alanya: Good news from Antalya

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a rental tender for open-top double-decker 'hop on hop off' sightseeing buses that will cover tourist districts such as Alanya, Serik, and Kemer, offering a 10-year operating right. The tender will be held on June 26, and the estimated total value exceeds 88 million TRY.

Antalya, known as Turkey’s tourism capital, and its popular district Alanya are preparing to offer domestic and international tourists a unique way to experience the city’s natural, historical, and cultural richness. The Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has announced a rental tender for a panoramic hop-on hop-off double-decker sightseeing bus line to operate in Alanya, Serik, Kemer, and central districts for tourism purposes. This new service will offer a major convenience for tourists searching for new transportation options to explore Alanya's attractions.

TENDER ON JUNE 26: 10-YEAR OPERATIONAL RIGHTS & 4 NEW BUSES

The tender will be conducted on June 26, 2025, at 15:00, at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality building, through a sealed bidding procedure in accordance with Article 35/a of State Tender Law No. 2886.

The winning bidder will be granted a 10-year operating right on the routes and stops defined by UKOME’s decision dated May 12, 2022 (2022/05-194).

Initially, the service will be provided with 4 brand new buses and 1 backup vehicle, all complying with the technical specifications. This offers valuable information regarding the "Antalya hop-on hop-off bus routes" and expected service quality.

ESTIMATED VALUE EXCEEDS 88 MILLION TRY

The municipality has set the estimated contract value (excluding VAT) at 88,145,338 TRY.

A temporary guarantee of 2,644,360 TRY must be submitted by those wishing to participate, indicating the scale and seriousness of the project.

DETAILED PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

The tender is open to domestic individuals and companies, as well as foreign companies with local partners.

Participants must submit all documents listed in the tender specifications (price: 10,000 TRY) by the deadline.

Required documents include:

ID and tax number,

Chamber of commerce registration,

Signature circulars,

Trade registry gazette,

Proof of temporary deposit,

Official letters showing no debt to the municipality, SGK, or tax office,

A minimum paid-in capital of 4 million TRY,

Group A travel agency license,

And a letter of intent or authorization agreement showing technical and commercial collaboration with a company operating in at least 5 international tourism cities.
