Zoning Crisis Deepens in Gazipaşa: 1/25000 Scale Master Zoning Plan Amendment Back on Agenda

The 1/25000 scale master zoning plan amendment in Gazipaşa, previously canceled by court ruling and covering many neighborhoods, was re-approved at Antalya Metropolitan Municipality’s March council meeting. However, 20 objections have been submitted and will be reviewed in the June council meeting.

The issue of opening agricultural lands for zoning raises a regional planning problem that may also affect neighboring Alanya. The court had earlier canceled some plans, sparking political debates.

The Zoning and Public Works Commission accepted some objections but rejected most. The final decision will be made by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Council.
