Gazipaşa is getting ready for the Folk Dance and Music Festival

Gazipaşa prepares to unite world cultures on one stage with the first-ever International Folk Dance and Music Festival.

Organized by the Gazipaşa Municipality Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, the festival will take place on June 22–23 and will bring together approximately 1,000 dancers from various countries, creating a cultural feast. The event aims to offer unforgettable visual and auditory experiences while promoting international recognition and vibrancy for the district.

FROM PARADE TO MAIN STAGE CELEBRATION

The festival will kick off on Saturday, June 22, at 7:30 PM with a parade starting in front of Ahmet Tuncer Primary School. Dance groups dressed in traditional costumes from different countries will march to Selinus Beach with music. The performances will take place at 8:00 PM on both days on the main stage near the Selinus Beach Public Buffet. The stage program will feature traditional dances, live music, ethnic tunes, and cultural elements, symbolizing unity and brotherhood through the universal language of culture, music, and dance.

Gazipaşa Mayor Mehmet Ali Yılmaz stated that the festival will serve as an important platform for intercultural interaction:
