Alanya is Boiling Over! Cases Are Flooding the Hospitals

As Temperatures Rise in Alanya, Hospitals Are Filling Up With Heatstroke and Air Conditioner-Related Cases
With the increasing impact of hot weather, health problems related to heatstroke and air conditioning are coming to the forefront. Dr. Nadir Aldemir, Head of Alanya District Health Directorate, listed the precautions citizens should take during extreme heat.
“AVOID LONG EXPOSURE TO THE SUN”
Dr. Aldemir warned that prolonged sun exposure leads to increased body temperature, posing serious health risks. He stated, “This condition can manifest with symptoms such as heart palpitations and low blood pressure. In such cases, people nearby should help the patient move to a cooler environment and seek medical attention immediately.”
BEWARE OF AIR CONDITIONER SETTINGS!
Dr. Aldemir also noted that improper use of air conditioners can lead to health problems, saying, “To avoid air conditioner-related illness, regular maintenance of devices is essential. Also, avoid using them at very low temperature settings for long periods.”
