Antalya and Alanya are burning: Fires that started at 3 different locations caused fear

Forest fires in Antalya’s Alanya, Serik, and Aksu put teams on high alert. While the fires in Aksu and Serik have been brought under control, efforts continue in Alanya.

SIMULTANEOUS FIRES IN ALANYA, AKSU, AND SERIK

Forest fires that broke out on June 28, 2025, in Alanya, Serik, and Aksu districts of Antalya caused major concern in the region. Teams from the Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry are intervening intensively by air and land.

FIRE UNDER CONTROL IN AKSU

The forest fire in Kurşunlu Neighborhood of Aksu district damaged olive, fig, and pomegranate trees in the area. However, the flames were brought under control before reaching greenhouses and houses. One hectare of land was affected by the fire. Cooling operations continue with construction machinery.

Teams from the Aksu District Gendarmerie Command and Provincial Gendarmerie Command also supported the firefighting efforts.

EFFORTS CONTINUE IN ALANYA

For the fire in the Mahmutseydi Kızılalan area of Alanya, the following were dispatched:

2 helicopters

5 fire trucks

2 water supply vehicles

2 initial response vehicles

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Efforts to bring the flames under control are ongoing.
