A New Era Begins in Alanya: In January, It Will Be Clear — Light or Dark

From January 1, 2026, Alanya will implement the "last-resort supply tariff" model, signaling a new era in electricity billing. Under this system, high-consumption households will pay electricity at actual cost.
The change aims to make public subsidies more targeted. The subsidy threshold of 5,000 kWh will be lowered, meaning some previously subsidized heavy users will now pay full cost.
New tariffs will be determined based on the subscriber’s location and the total 2025 electricity consumption. In their January bills, subscribers will see which tariff they have been moved to.
