Betrayal of the sea in Alanya caught on drone camera

Environmental Scandal in Alanya: Polluted Water Dumped into Sea Caught on Drone Camera
In Alanya’s Mahmutlar neighborhood, a tourist’s drone captured dirty yellow water being discharged into the sea. Shocked by the sudden change in water color, the tourist said, “This is an environmental disaster.” The gendarmerie has launched an investigation.
The yellow liquid was seen flowing from a canal next to snack stand number 76 into the sea. It was captured on video by Hakan Etli, a tourist visiting from Germany. According to Etli, the sea lost its blue color and turned yellow. Speaking to Yeni Alanya, Etli explained:
“I come to Alanya every year for vacation. This time, I was filming the crystal-clear sea with my drone. Suddenly, yellow liquid started flowing into the sea, changing the color of the water. Tourists in the water quickly fled. I immediately notified the gendarmerie, and they came to investigate.”
Expressing his anger, Etli added: “Today is May 19 — and sadly, this is the gift we received.”
No official statement has yet been made, but gendarmerie teams are investigating the incident. Environmental volunteers and citizens are demanding that those responsible be identified and held accountable as soon as possible.
