Social Security Institution Announces: Payments Are Being Reclaimed

Turkey’s Social Security Institution (SGK) has announced that it is reclaiming payments from individuals found to have fraudulently obtained pensions through fake divorces.
People who continue living with their ex-spouse to collect pensions left by a deceased parent are being identified by SGK. Once such cases are detected, the women’s pensions are terminated and all payments made up to that date are reclaimed.
WARNING FROM SGK
In its public warning, SGK stated:
"Attention! Monthly pensions granted to individuals found to be living with a divorced spouse are being terminated based on investigations conducted by our institution. To avoid loss of rights, comply with the law."
LEGAL ACTION INITIATED
If fraudulent pension collection is confirmed, SGK initiates legal proceedings against those individuals. It also begins procedures to recover all paid amounts along with interest.
