Food Scandal in Antalya: Shocking Findings Inside a Hamburger

On June 4, 2025, the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry released an updated list of companies involved in food adulteration and fraud. A business from Antalya, named Mahalle Burger, operating in the Manavgat district, was among those exposed for violating food safety regulations.

Laboratory analyses revealed the presence of poultry meat in the hamburger patties, which was not disclosed on the product label. As a result, the business was added to the Ministry’s public disclosure list.

Mahalle Burger became the latest example raising concerns among consumers regarding food safety, due to the use of undeclared ingredients. Authorities stated that inspections will continue and emphasized the importance of consumer awareness regarding such announcements.
