Young people are being guided toward vocational education through the ‘My Profession, My Future’ days.

To guide young people toward vocational education and increase employment opportunities, the Governorship of Antalya and the Provincial Directorate of National Education organized the "My Profession, My Future" promotional days. During the event, 11 vocational high schools set up stands and introduced their fields. Governor Hulusi Şahin and Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Yasin Eriş emphasized the importance of vocational schools and offered messages of support to the youth.

The "My Profession, My Future" event was held in Antalya to help middle school students become more familiar with vocational high schools before choosing their high schools. Held in a shopping mall and attended by 11 vocational schools, the event gave students the opportunity to see school departments and projects in action.

Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, who visited the stands during the event, stated that strengthening vocational schools means strengthening Turkey’s future. Governor Şahin said:

“We are working hard for this in Antalya. About a month ago, we brought together vocational high school graduates and sector representatives through İŞKUR. Today, we aim to attract students to vocational schools. Here, we are hosting our middle school students.”

Highlighting that students were able to explore the departments and make more suitable choices based on their interests, Şahin continued:

“Thus, we aim to increase demand for vocational schools and raise both the number and quality of students. Graduates of vocational schools don’t just gain a profession—they gain a golden bracelet on their wrists. All our efforts are guided by the principle that vocational schools are a matter of national importance. I congratulate our Director of Education and all our schools. Next year, we will continue this initiative with greater scope.”

Antalya Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Yasin Eriş noted that such events help raise awareness before the upcoming school selection period. He added:

“With the understanding that ‘vocational high schools mean our future,’ we will continue these efforts. This was the first step. We will expand the event to other districts of Antalya. Between July 1–3, we will organize similar events in different shopping malls to meet with students and parents.”
