Alanya breeze in the skies: Europe is flowing in!

Promotional efforts in Alanya begin to pay off as Europe flows in

Comprehensive tourism promotion campaigns in Alanya are starting to yield results. Following successful initiatives in Denmark, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the region has welcomed its first flights from Hungary as well. Speaking about the matter, ALTİD Vice Chairman Dahaoğlu stated, “We are expanding Alanya’s transport network through our ongoing promotional activities.”

Thanks to active and successful promotional work at fairs, Alanya is increasingly becoming a focal point of interest. Equally encouraging developments have been seen at Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport, a key infrastructure for Alanya tourism. Positive feedback and support received throughout negotiations have begun to bring successful outcomes for our region.

ALTİD Vice Chairman Mehmet Dahaoğlu added:

“Our joint promotion efforts continue to enhance the region’s tourism potential. Most notably, inaugural flights from various countries to Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport represent a major step forward in strengthening the region’s international accessibility. Following the first flight from Budapest, the upcoming inaugural flight from Bratislava via Corendon Airlines is extending Alanya’s European reach.”

A Fresh Boost

These new air connections inject fresh energy into the region’s tourism, making it much easier for visitors to reach Alanya. Even though this season’s tourism figures are below expectations, the establishment of new routes offers encouraging signals for the future of the industry.

In particular, Corendon Airlines’ direct services to Alanya are helping increase arrivals from European destinations, bolstering interest in the area.

Thanks should go to Corendon’s founders and executives, Atilay Uslu and Yıldıray Karaer, for their support and visionary approach. We also hope that other airlines follow their lead by launching similar services to Alanya.

Effective Cooperation between ALTİD and ALTAV

Alanya’s collaborative promotions have continued for years. The partnership between the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) and the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) plays a vital role in steadily raising awareness of the region.

As a result of these efforts, Corendon Airlines began using Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport as an operational base two years ago. This has made travel much more convenient for guests and garnered high satisfaction from tourists enjoying the new route.

22 Destinations from 16 Countries

Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport, growing towards becoming an international airport, attracts significant demand from Asia, former Soviet states, Europe, and the Baltics—beyond three domestic airports. Alanya now hosts flights from 22 destinations across 16 countries, welcoming tourists and residents from around the world.

Which Countries?

The airlines flying to Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport come from Germany, Denmark, Finland, Iran, Sweden, Lithuania, Norway, the Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, Poland, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia.

Airport Strengthens Regional Appeal

Dahaoğlu also emphasized: “Expanding Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport’s network of destinations will continue to boost both the local economy and tourism activity. Making Alanya more accessible on a global scale will enhance the region’s appeal and drive the tourism sector forward.”
