A Historic Achievement from ALKÜ, the Pride of Alanya

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) has achieved its first-ever inclusion in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, gaining international recognition for sustainability. Evaluated across SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), ALKÜ earned 66.1 points for SDG 12—placing it in the 301–400 global band and third in Turkey. The university’s zero-waste policy, organic waste recycling, and Solar Power Plant have advanced its carbon neutrality goals, earning significant recognition globally. With these environmental initiatives, ALKÜ solidifies its role as a frontrunner in the sustainability transformation of higher education.
