The situation in Alanya is critical: Stocks are running out!

The Alanya branch of the Turkish Red Crescent has reported that blood stocks nationwide have fallen below the minimum required level. Dikici stated that the decrease in stock is due to the arrival of the summer months.
With the onset of summer, blood donation rates in Alanya have declined. Mehmet Dikici, head of the Alanya Red Crescent branch, indicated that the blood stocks in the city are currently below the national average and called on citizens to donate blood.
'DONATIONS DECREASE IN SUMMER'
Dikici described the reduction in stocks as a seasonal occurrence: “Blood donations drop every year during the summer months, and we are seeing the same pattern this year. Currently, Alanya is slightly below the national average.”
TWO TEAMS IN THE FIELD WEEKLY
To meet the blood demand, Dikici said the number of teams working in the field has been increased. “We operate two teams per week to boost donations. We will launch a new blood donation campaign on July 15,” he added.
'WE ARE NEITHER IN A VERY RISKY NOR A VERY GOOD POSITION'
Dikici also reminded that the blood supply system has changed compared to before: “There is no longer a constant demand for donations as there used to be. Relatives of patients are only informed when there is a need. We are not currently at a very risky point, but we are not in a very good position either.”
Dikici invited all citizens in Alanya to donate blood regularly.
