The increasing mosquito population in Alanya has become a serious problem, especially for residents living near the Hacımemiş Mosque garden. A citizen’s public plea revealed the severity of the issue, stating that the area has become unlivable due to swarms of mosquitoes and calling for the trees in the mosque garden to be pruned.

What makes the situation even more serious is the threat to children's health. A resident, who chose to remain anonymous, said that his daughter has a mosquito allergy and he has had to take her to the hospital repeatedly for the past week. It was reported that the child developed an infection from the mosquito bites and has started antibiotic treatment. The resident also complained that no mosquito spraying has been conducted in the area.

Citizens are urgently calling for the pruning of trees around the Hacımemiş Mosque and for effective mosquito spraying in the neighborhood. Locals expect the authorities to take immediate action and find a solution to the growing mosquito problem.
