Authorities are working to bring the forest fires in Aksu, Muratpaşa, and Manavgat under control. A large number of houses have been evacuated.

Forest Fires Broke Out in Three Different Locations

Forest fires broke out in the Aksu, Muratpaşa, and Manavgat districts of Antalya. The cause of the fires is still unknown, and teams from the Antalya Regional Directorate of Forestry are intervening both from the air and the ground.

Fires Approached Residential Areas

The fires that broke out in the forested areas near Kurşunlu Neighborhood in Aksu, Güzeloba Neighborhood in Muratpaşa, and Güzelyalı Neighborhood in Manavgat have approached residential zones. Numerous houses in the region were evacuated following announcements made by police teams.

Firefighting Efforts Continue

After the reports, helicopters, fire trucks, forestry workers, and police water cannon vehicles (TOMAs) were dispatched to the area. While intensive efforts are being made from both the air and the ground, citizens have also been warned to remain alert.

There Were Also Fires in Recent Weeks

The Muratpaşa district had also faced a similar fire threat in recent weeks. Officials noted that the risk of fire has increased due to strong winds in the region.
