Alanya District Governor’s Office Cracks Down on Drivers Using Pedestrian Walkways
The Alanya District Governor’s Office is taking strict measures against drivers who use pedestrian walkways. During recent inspections, 20 drivers were fined a total of 43,340 Turkish Liras.
According to the official statement:
“Our inspection teams carried out checks on the walking path along Ahmet Tokuş Boulevard in Güllerpınarı Neighborhood and in pedestrian-only zones in the city center. As a result of these inspections, 20 drivers who violated traffic rules and endangered public safety by using pedestrian paths were fined a total of 43,340 TL in administrative penalties.
Let us not forget that pedestrian walkways are solely for the safe use of pedestrians. We call on all drivers to act responsibly and conscientiously. We respectfully inform the public that our inspections will continue rigorously for the peace and safety of our citizens.”
