Good news for tradesmen and hoteliers in Alanya: 'November boost' in tourism

TUI has decided to extend the summer season in Turkey and Greece until November. Alanya tourism professionals indicated that the lost demand in April due to climate change might shift to November, but the process will depend on hotels’ adaptability and pricing policies.
TUI, one of the world’s leading tour operators, aims to offer a calmer atmosphere, affordable prices, and favorable weather conditions to travelers who avoid the busy summer months. Representatives of Alanya’s tourism sector attribute this decision to the shifting seasons caused by climate change in recent years.
Burhan Sili, President of the Alanya Touristic Operators Association (ALTİD), stated that there could be some activity in November as well and that hotel compliance is critical for the success of this process. Şükrü Cimrin, Board Member of the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), emphasized that hotel opening-closing decisions and pricing policies are decisive in this period.
