Locals complain that the city, which should be a modern tourism hub, is still experiencing “Stone Age” conditions in 2025. The situation worsens especially during hot summer days with constant electricity cuts, transportation issues, and environmental problems, significantly lowering the quality of life. Some residents have voiced their frustration by saying, “Even Uganda is more civilized than us.”
