Ferry Service Between Turkey’s Trabzon and Russia’s Sochi to Begin October 29

Turkey and Russia are set to inaugurate regular ferry service between the port of Trabzon and the resort city of Sochi on October 29.

According to a source at the Trabzon port, the first vessel, named SEABRIDGE, will depart on that date. The ferry will carry passengers initially, while the transportation of vehicles will commence later, once Russian approvals are secured.

Originally, the launch was planned for October 26, but the date was postponed due to delays on the Russian side in obtaining the necessary permissions.

This route could become an important logistical link between Turkey and southern Russia, particularly for tourism and trade.
