Political party leaders and animal rights advocates in Alanya have voiced their opposition to the proposed bill foreseeing euthanasia for stray animals submitted to the TBMM. District presidents of the CHP and İYİ Party demanded the withdrawal of the proposal and the development of alternative solutions. Animal rights advocates emphasized that local governments have not fulfilled their responsibilities under current laws.
