The bubble in car prices has burst in Alanya

Especially during the pandemic period, the exorbitant prices of vehicles used as investment tools by citizens have started to decline.
Fırat Çakıroğlu, the owner of Marka Motors, who made exclusive statements to Dim TV about the current state of the automotive sector, stated, "When we look at the unit prices overall, before the pandemic, the price of a vehicle that started at 500,000 TL had reached its peak around 1.2 million TL. This situation arose due to the lack of vehicle supply, excessive demand, and supply issues. During peak times, under pressure from the government, the number of products increased, and more vehicles began to arrive at dealerships. However, with sales stagnation and interest rates rising, people turned away from vehicles they saw as investment tools and turned to banks. Therefore, we have seen a decline in vehicle prices. We observed that a vehicle that had increased from 500,000 TL to 1.2 million TL has declined to 750,000-800,000 TL, which corresponds to a decrease of 35-40%. In fact, these figures were within the normal price range for the vehicle."
"We've hit rock bottom in prices," said Çakıroğlu, emphasizing that now is the perfect time to buy a car. "According to our assessment with our dealer colleagues, prices are currently stagnant, and we believe we've seen the lowest points. Right now, everyone is depositing their money in the bank, so when we ask, 'Is it worth buying a car during this period?', it's thought that it might not be possible to buy the same car later. There's a slight revival in business expectations due to anticipated interest rate cuts, but we're starting to live solely on these expectations. We believe that now is the perfect time to buy a car."
"GALERİCİLER SIKINTILAR YAŞIYOR"
Çakıroğlu, who stated that the sector is experiencing difficulties, said, "As far as we know, out of 100 gallery owners, only 20-25 are exclusively involved in this business. For example, we have seen friends from professional groups such as doctors and barbers buy 4-5 cars. We find ourselves face to face again with respected traders who have truly dedicated their years and efforts to this profession. Among the remaining gallery owners, there are also those who have joined this business later and want to invest their money in this sector. We really follow the market, exchange rates, sales trends, and customer-focused marketing issues. It is more important to track where our customers invest their money and focus on time factors rather than just buying and selling a product. May Allah help us all, we are going through difficult times."
