Bananas are in high demand in Alanya

In Alanya, known for its banana production, producers are expecting a high yield this year as well. Bananas from Alanya, grown on an area of 22,000 hectares, continue to reach consumers fresh throughout the 12 months of the year.

Mustafa Şenli, President of MUZBİR, stated that the harvest of the second crop of bananas is nearing its end and that the new season will start at the end of August or beginning of September. The yield, which was 140,000 tons last year, is expected to be high again this year. Şenli also mentioned that there is strong demand both in the domestic market and for export.

Thanks to the climate conditions, Alanya bananas are available fresh on consumers' tables every month of the year. These successes by producers make a significant contribution to both the local and national economy.
