A 3-Day Mourning Period Declared

A 3-day mourning period has been declared in Brazil following a horrific plane crash in the state of São Paulo. In this tragic accident, none of the 61 passengers on board the aircraft survived.
The ATR-72 aircraft from Voepass Airlines, traveling from Cascavel to Guarulhos, crashed in São Paulo. According to Voepass Airlines, "On August 9, Friday, an accident involving flight PS - VPB number 2283 occurred in the Vinhedo/SP area. The aircraft, carrying 57 passengers and 4 crew members, took off from Cascavel/PR at 11:46 bound for Guarulhos Airport. The company regrets to report that all 61 people on flight 2283 died at the scene."
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has announced a three-day mourning period in the country for the victims. ATR has stated that an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
