Fire at Antalya Akdeniz University Hospital: Interventions Ongoing

A fire broke out in the emergency department of Akdeniz University Hospital, one of Antalya's major healthcare institutions. The fire, which started around noon, caused panic among hospital staff and patients' relatives.

The incident occurred in the emergency department of the hospital. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but due to the thick smoke, the emergency department and nearby units were quickly evacuated. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly and began their intervention.

EVACUATION AND SAFETY MEASURES

Hospital management directed patients and staff to safe areas once the fire alarm was activated. Critical patients in the emergency department were transferred to other units, while healthcare workers supported the firefighting teams.

FIREFIGHTERS INTERVENED QUICKLY

Firefighting teams from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department arrived at the hospital in a short time and began to control the fire. Despite the thick smoke, the fire was contained, and efforts were made to prevent it from spreading to other parts of the hospital.
