The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced that 1 billion 227 million Turkish liras in Social and Economic Support (SED) payments for May have been deposited into accounts to support children socially. The Minister emphasized that they give special importance to children growing up under the care and affection of their families.

In her written statement, Minister Göktaş emphasized that they place special importance on services for children and diversify the services to meet their various needs. She stated that with SED, they support children alongside their families and social environments. Minister Göktaş expressed that they work diligently to ensure that children grow up to be individuals who are confident, educated, healthy, and possess national values. She also stated that they make efforts to ensure children are raised primarily with family care and warmth through family-oriented social service models. Minister Göktaş concluded by saying, “To support children socially and cover their education expenses, we have deposited a total of 1 billion 227 million Turkish liras in SED payments for May into accounts.”
